Great ideas and suggestions for your wedding
- Cocktail music should be mild tempo.
- Caterer and DJ’s bridal party entrance sheet should have the same information. DJ/MC should practice saying each individual’s name while double-checking on the lineup for a mistake free entrance.
- Bridal party entrance music should be mainly instrumental, which makes it easier to hear the names of everybody being introduced.
- Recommended order of entrance for bridal party – Parents of the bride - Parents of the groom – ushers - Flower girl and Ring bearer - Bridesmaid and Groomsman - Matron/Maid of honor and Best man – Bride and Groom.
- Bridal party may want to create a bridge for the Bride and Groom to walk under once introduced.
- First dance should follow the Bridal party entrance, then comes the toast by the Best man or Maid of honor. The toast may also take place after dinner if preferred.
- For the toast everybody must be standing, but the Bride And Groom should be seated.
- Blessings or prayers may take place somewhere after the first dance.
- It’s a great idea to do all other dances after dinner because it gives the audience something to look forward to in addition to the garter ceremony.
- If you are comfortable with the idea of being lifted in the air on a chair then definitely go for it because it’s fun for everybody.
- Some recommended audience participation dances that will really make a wedding exciting are: Cha cha slide, Ride the train, Dollar dance, Follow the leader, Limbo, Electric slide, Conga line.
- Last but not least, decide whether you want a basic or a grand finale to end the wedding.
